Our range of separators are ideal for creating that perfect divide and have been rigorously implemented up and down the country in aid of social distancing. Offering a complete range of varying heights, with self-weighted or water filled options, our range will suit your requirements.

ROAD ROCK

The Road Rock is a 15kg low-level, self-weighted base that easily connects both horizontally and vertically, whilst allowing angular movement. Think of a mini roundabout.

ROAD RUNNER

The Road Runner implements the same tail connection, however, is greater in height at 0.6m and features 2 heavy-duty wheels at the rear allowing for easier movability.

HOG600

The HOG600 is a water-filled, blow moulded separator capable of holding a whopping 55 litres of water and then some. If it falls a little short, the Mini-DoubleTop can be fitted to hit that 1m height.

BUDDHA

The Buddha barrier, aptly named for the belly, is a completely anti-trip water-filled barrier at 0.8m in height, and capable of taking the DoubleTop range. Reflective can also be added for greater visual indication.

WONDERWALL

The WonderWall, at 1m in height, this self-weighted barrier is a favourite within the street works sector. With various options for branding, and a tough strong connection, you are guaranteed to implement that social distance.

DOUBLETOP & MINI

The DoubleTop and Mini-DoubleTop add that little bit of extra height to a variety of the separator range restricting access even further.

18KG MULTIFIT

Introducing the Holiest of Holy Bases, the New Multifit Base. Taking the aesthetics of the standard Fence Bases seen globally and fusing together with a plethora of hole sizes for various types of demarcation. The 18kg Base will be sure to support your temporary work requirements.

Ø45MM

Four location points measuring at 45mm in diameter allow compatibility with the Thor and Hammer Barrier range, as well as other heavy duty barriers seen globally.

Ø38.3MM

Four smaller holes can be found merged with the 45mm variants allowing compatibility with the DoubleTop and other standard metal fencing panels with 38.3mm diameter tubing.

SQUARED

Both 40x40mm & 60x60mm seen throughout the Base range has been included, allowing the possibility of the installation of standard Beacons at the same time as the Barrier system itself.

CUSTOMISE IT

We dedicate a lot of attention to customisation options, and with this being a Melba Swintex product, this is certainly the case. Each end of the Multifit can be coloured to your branding options, as well as the feature to emboss your corporate identification on the top face. Stacking is easy with no pallets required, and 2 forklift slots allow easy transportation in bulk quantities.

The Thor & Hammer Barricades have been seeing critical acclaim after starring in the action-packed Spider-Man: Far From Home, and now they are continuing their quest together with the help from a wide selection of heavy-duty Bases.

THOR

A Barricade that provides tremendous strength and restraint ensuring safety on site. An evenly distributed number of holders provide various arrangements for your road lamps.

HAMMER

The smoother of the two, the Hammer has a clean top-rail providing an alternative method to attaching the required road lamp, yet still supplying the great strength that is required.

15KG FOOTPLATE

A Base capable of taking over 8 different styles of product by implementing various hole sizes. With a 225 x 25mm slot to take Beacon markers which is a key facility to the Footplate range, with a locking latch to ensure the Base meets all required legislation.

25KG FOOTPLATE

Supplying a substantial ballast to various traffic marking products. 5 separate hole locations provide multifunctional use, as well as 2 areas for personalised company identification. 4 easy-carry handles allow a smooth transition from the work vehicle to the installation site.

28KG FOOTPLATE

The big brother of the Base family providing that little bit of extra weight for peace of mind. As well as incorporating features to secure standard beacon sizes seen throughout Europe, the Footplate features additional hole sizes for a further range of applications.

Recent weather has seen torrential downpours and high-strength winds that have resulted in damaged properties and uprooted trees. This unpredictable weather has brought unpredictable results, and what better way to ensure the stability of your temporary barriers than with the use of the Melba Swintex Heavy Duty Footplates, as well as our extensive range of Bases?

The New KG-Base is the latest addition to the Heavy-Duty Base collection. Providing a 25kg Ballast with a variety of hole locations for multiple layouts. 2 areas for personalised company identification and an ergonomically designed handle to ease handling.

The 25kg Footplate supplies a substantial ballast to various traffic marking products. 5 separate hole locations provide multifunctional use, as well as 2 areas for personalised company identification. 4 easy-carry handles allow a smooth transition from the work vehicle to the installation site.

The 28kg Footplate is the big brother to the 25kg, with almost identical features, whilst also providing that little bit of extra weight for peace of mind. As well as incorporating features to secure standard beacon sizes seen throughout Europe, the Footplate features a housing compartment for any loose batteries if required.

Need something a little lighter? The Fence Base MKII is suited for the mobile fencing market. Supplying a weight of up to 18kg, and 16 standardised holes ensures suitability for most construction jobs.

Home Sweet New Home

Melba Swintex are delighted to announce the successful purchase of a new premises for their base of operations. Due to increasing restrictions of space and power, the company has seen such growth that the current site is no longer fit for purpose and are therefore in the process of relocating each machine to the new 17-acre site located in Ramsbottom.

The existing premises in Bury will cease association with Melba Swintex, and the target will be to have all operations fully up and running at the new premises as we enter into the New Year.

Throughout the move, the company will continue to trade as usual, with little to no interruptions noticeable.

The Q-Sign Range from Melba Swintex is the industry leader in Temporary Road Signs. Many imitations exist, but none stand up to the real thing. With high production rates and high quality that has become standard here at Melba Swintex, it’s no surprise that the Q-Sign is our number one seller in Traffic Signs.

Melba Swintex have also recently invested into the purchase of another Q-Sign manufacturing machine and plan to take delivery within a few weeks time. Forever striving to better lead times and provide a higher quality product.

The entire Q-Sign range can be printed with corporate branding along the side, or top, so that any Q-Signs that do go off wandering can easily be identified before finishing on site.

HOG600 – A New Sturdy & Robust Water Separator

Introducing the All New HOG600

A sturdy and long-lasting Water Separator which is quick and simple to install, as well as having the capacity to hold over 55 litres of water.

The HOG600 has been designed to be completely anti-trip. By implementing a hook & eye system, each barrier is capable of connecting to the corresponding Separator with ample movement to create different angles.

Each Separator has the ability to increase its height with the addition of a Fence type barrier.

Angular Movement

No corner buffers or additional equipment is required for tight corners or bends. The HOG600 has the angular freedom of over 235°. Six will make a mini roundabout.

Filling & Emptying

Each half of the HOG600 is separately filled from one another using water by utilising the entry points in each of the top corners.

Maximum Level

A maximum level line is indicated on each side of the barrier. When a light source is placed on the inside wall, the water level becomes visible.
