    Urban Sign Sizing

    QuickFit Standards

    The design of the Urban Sign Base allows for the installation of existing 300mm and 450mm hole centre sign faces when utilising two Urban Sign Posts. When the hole centres are central to the sign face, only one post is required.

    The Urban Sign Post can be manufactured to branding colours, whilst both the Urban Sign Post & Base can be branded with corporate branding. Reducing theft and loss whilst promoting your brand at the same time.

    Urban Sign Stability

    Stability

    The Urban Sign Base will only stack one way, which ensures all holes self-align. This then allows the use of multiple bases to create higher stability. The Urban Sign Post can be take the installation of up to three bases per post.

    Urban Sign Compatibility

    Compatibility

    Due to the form of the Urban Sign Post, it is compatible with existing bases, including a vast selection within the Melba Swintex range. This reduces the footprint of the overall street works when combined with other products such as the Melba Swintex V-Fence.

    Wind Resistance:

    All temporary traffic signs must be able to withstand three different classes of wind speeds with the use of a ballast. The standard BS 8442:2015 states the three classes as the following:

    Class A: 26.3 m/s (58mph)
    Class B: 17.6 m/s (39mph)
    Class C: 8.7m/s (19mph)

    The Urban Sign has been tested under strict conditions at the Full Scale Wind Tunnel at Mira to determine at which wind speeds the sign can withstand. Below are the results for the standard sign face range for the Urban Sign System. These results are a guide to the recommended ballast weight for each Wind Class:
